<p>PURPOSE:To improve a transmitting ability by comparing the sum of the throughputs of the calls of a line group and the transmitting abilities of respective lines and selecting the line group having the largest spared capacity at the time of sending an incoming packet from a packet switching device to a packet terminal with the line group. CONSTITUTION:The incoming (CN) packet is sent from a packet switching device 1 through line groups 9-11 to a packet terminal 2. To the line groups 9-11, calls 12-16 having throughputs(ThP) 9.6-19.2kbps indicated in a drawing are set, respectively. The packet switching device 1 has a functional part 17 to read a ThP value decided by the comparison of the CN packet with an incoming acceptance (CA) packet, storing parts 4-8 of the sum of all call ThP values for the line groups 9-11, and storing parts 3-7 of transmitting abilities S1-S3 of the line groups 9-11. The ThP value read from the functional part 17 and sums SS1-SS3 of the ThPs indicated by the storing parts 4-8 are added 18. Transmitting spared capacities (S1-SS1)-(S3-SS3) are compared, and the line group having the largest spared capacity is selected.</p> |
