PURPOSE: To prepare a granulate of good quality, comprising a therapeutically effective substance having a water solubility within a specific range and a microcrystalline cellulose, etc., containing a relatively large amount of an active substance and capable of forming a solid tablet having a satisfactory disintegration behavior. CONSTITUTION: This pharmaceutical granulate comprises a therapeutically effective substance, having <10wt.%, preferably <5wt.% water solubility (e.g. an amphotericβ-lactam antibiotic substance or a tetracycline antibiotic substance) and a cellulosic product which is a microcrystalline cellulose or a microfine cellulose or a mixture of both. The content of a wet binder substance is 0-0.5wt.%, preferably <0.1wt.% based on the therapeutically effective substance. The granulate is capable of uninterruptedly flowing through a flow cup orifice not wider than 12mm. The cellulosic product is used in an amount within the range of 20-100wt.%, preferably 35-45wt.% based on the therapeutically effective substance.
