PURPOSE:To obtain a stable and excellent image of which the density is not excessively low even when a blurring rate of a material to be recorded is varied and which is free from the occurrence of a black streak in a high-density part, by executing alternation of a correction parameter corresponding to the blurring rate of the material which is detected. CONSTITUTION:A blurring rate detecting means 10 conducts a trial print of an isolated dot outside an image recording area of a material to be recorded, prior to formation of an image, for instance, and the diameter of the dot is illuminated by a light-emitting element provided in an apparatus and is measured by a light-sensing element array. A correction parameter alternation signal S15 from a correction parameter alternation means 16 is a signal corresponding to a blurring rate. The correction parameter alternation means 16 can be constructed in the form of a microcomputer having CPU and ROM and it determines a correction parameter with reference to a table developed in the ROM in accordance with a signal S12. A color correction circuit 18 can change over a coefficient in accordance with the color correction parameter alternation signal S15 when output signals Y', M' and C' are for the color correction with a masking processing applied in relation to input signals S1 to S3 of three colors, Y, M and C, for instance. |
