PURPOSE:To avoid the effect of a fault onto the entire network by connecting cables from plural terminal stations in time division at normal state, sending a signal to an object terminal station, stopping the communication of data with a faulty terminal station at faulty state and connecting fixedly the cables from two prescribed terminal stations. CONSTITUTION:Destination identification circuits A, B, C identify respectively the destination of each data constituting a signal sent from the terminal stations A, B, C and subject to time division multiplex. Switch control sections A, B and C131, 132 and 133 control respectively changeover switches 141 and 151 or 142 and 152 or 143 and 153 based on the destination identified by the destination identification circuits A, B and C131, 132 and 133. If a fault or the like is detected by the destination identification circuit 123, the said time division submarine demultiplexer stops the data transmission with a terminal station V having the said fault and controls the data transmission fixedly between the terminal stations A and B. |
