发明名称 METHOD FOR INCREASING EFFICIENCY OF COPPER VAPOR LASER
摘要 PURPOSE:To accelerate the rice of a light pulse from copper vapor laser, to elongate the oscillation time and to increase the efficiency of the laser by using Cd atoms or molecules as a high efficiency exciting agent for the laser. CONSTITUTION:Metallic copper and copper halide are used as copper vapor laser and metallic Cd is used as a high efficiency exciting agent. Energy is transferred by colliding Cd atoms with copper atoms and the excitation of copper atoms from the ground state or the lower level of the laser and the further elongation of reversal distribution by the reduction of the number density of atoms at the lower level if the laser are enabled. The oscillation time of a light pulse (i.e., pulse width) is elongated and the efficiency of the copper vapor laser can be increased. When the laser is used, the production efficiency of a uranium enriching apparatus, etc., can be increased.
