PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a suspended matter in washing and stabilization processing solutions used in the washing and the stabilization processing steps by allowing current to flow in the washing and the stabilization processing solutions of the title material using a carbon electrode as an anode. CONSTITUTION:The current is allowed to flow in the washing and the stabilization processing solutions 8 used in the washing and stabilization processing steps existing between the fixing and the drying steps, using the carbon electrode 6 as the anode. The component of the stabilization processing solution is taken into the processing solutions in the washing, the stabilization and a nonwashing stabilization processing steps, respectively, and especially, the suspended matter is easy to generate in a tank contg. a diluted solution, and according to conditions. Accordingly, at the time of continuously processing the photosensitive material for a long period, the suspended matter accumulates, but, a precipitate component is adsorpted and decomposed on the surface of the carbon electrode, and the decomposition of the precipitate is promoted by allowing the current to flow the processing solutions using the carbon electrode. Thus, the generation of the suspended matter in the processing solutions is prevented, even at the time of the low processing quantity of the sensitive material and the low renewal ratio of the processing solutions. |
