PURPOSE:To prevent a change or the like of the density of a recorded image in relation to materials to be recorded which are different subtly in a blurring rate, and thereby to enable the attainment of image recording of high quality at all times, by controlling the amount of conveyance so that the materials to be recorded are conveyed properly in the sub-scanning direction, in accordance with the blurring rate of the material. CONSTITUTION:An output signal of a blurring rate detecting means 11 which reads data on the blurring rate of a material to be recorded, which are marked beforehand for each material to be recorded, is taken in a control device 14 as the data on the blurring rate of the material to be recorded, through a converting amplifier 12 and an A/D converte 13. Then, the number of sub- scanning feed pulses corresponding to the data on the blurring rate is determined from these data. Based on said data, a signal is sent to a sub-scanning motor driving circuit 16 and thereby a sub-scanning motor is driven by the number of the feed pulses determined by the control device 14. When the blurring rate is higher than a standard, the number of the pulses is increased to increase the amount of sub-scanning feed, and when the blurring rate is low, an operation contrary to the above is conducted. |
