PURPOSE:To continue a stable and quick development processing extending over a long period by using a developer which is mainly composed of specific silicate. CONSTITUTION:The development processing is executed in a state that a developer 11 and a development replenishing liquid 17 are a solution of alkali metal silicate, and an [SiO2]/[M2O] ratio (provided that [SiO2] and [M2O] denote molar concentration of SiO2 and molar concentration of an alkali metal oxide, respectively) of the development replenishing liquid 17 is 0.6-1.5. In such a way, the developer is scarcely deteriorated, a stable and quick development processing can be executed and the running cost can be reduced. |
