PURPOSE:To suppress the deterioration of a display response characteristic and a driving voltage characteristic, and the difference of a hue or a color unevenness by placing a spacer material only between display areas displayed by a display electrode and a common electrode. CONSTITUTION:A spacer material 15 by which a transparent substrate 1 provided with a switching element 4 and a display electrode 3 and the other transparent substrate 2 provided with a common electrode 12 and a color filter layer 14 are opposed to each other is dispersed into the color filter layer 14 and placed only on the display electrode 3. In such a way, it can be prevented that a thin film transistor (TFT) 4 is damaged by the spacer material 15, and an interval between the substrates can be set exactly, therefore, a display scarcely having the color unevenness can be executed. |
