The present invention relates to a device for drilling and/or grooving (routing) 10 associated with a motor rotationally driving a chuck to which is fitted a milling cutter 24 which is driven in rotation, characterised in that it is carried by the shank 25 of the said milling cutter and in that it includes a support ball 11 which is free to rotate with respect to the said milling cutter 24 and whose longitudinal position on the shank of the milling cutter is adjustable 14. The invention is used particularly for making grooves in rebates of wooden, metal or plastic joinery. It has the advantage of being easy to use, lightweight and very manoeuvrable. <IMAGE>
