PURPOSE:To stabilize the generation and vanishing of bubbles and to obtain sufficient discharging performance of recording liquid by specifying the ratio of the electric resistance of a first electrode to that of a second electrode. CONSTITUTION:The electric resistance R1 of a first electrode 27 is of a resistance value between C and D (between C' and D', between C'' and D'' being the same). Here, the C (C', C'',...) is a connector to a heat generating resistor layer, and the D (D', D'',...) is an external connector. The electric resistance R2 of a second electrode 28 (a common electrode) is of a resistance value between the external connector A and the connector B to the resistor layer farthest from the connector A. When the relationship between the R1 and the R2 becomes R1/R2>=1 and a plurality of the first electrodes are simultaneously applied with a driving voltage, it is durable. In order to realize the structure of such electrodes, the material, the width or the thickness of the first electrode may be altered to those of the second electrode. Or, the density of the material may be varied. |
