PURPOSE:To improve water-proofness by preparing a chemical for ink jet recording with N-hydrocarbon-substituted di(meth)-allylamines (salts) or their quarternary compounds of epihalohydrin and if necessary, other copolymers. CONSTITUTION:Copolymers are prepared by polymerizing N-hydrocarbon- substituted di(meth)-allylamines(salts) and/or their quaternary compounds of epihalohydrin as well as other monomers which can be copolymerized, in the form of an open circle. Then these copolymers are used as a chemical for ink jet recording. N-hydrocarbon-substituted di(meta)-allylamines(salts) are compounds expressed by a formula I (R1, R2 are H, a methyl group; R3 is an alkyl group, aryl group, an aralkyl group and a cycloalkyl group each with 1 to 18 carbons; and X is paired anions of acid). The copolymer thus obtained improves water-proofness compared to the conventional cationic polymer. |
