PURPOSE:To create color tone without chromatic mixture or bleeding by providing on a support, at least, two thermal coloring layers which contains specific discharging agent and develop color in different tones to form a multi-color thermal recording material. CONSTITUTION:A multi-color thermal recording medium is prepared which consists of at least, two thermal coloring layers to develop in respectively different color tones on a support. At least, one of these thermal coloring layers contains leuco dye and a color developer. In this case, at least, one type of compounds expressed by a formula I(R1, R2 are hydrogen atom, an alkyl group with 1 to 2 carbons; R3 is a straight-chain or branched alkylene group with 1 to 5 carbons) is added to a position for discharging action upon the coloring system of leuco dye and color developer. The thermal recording medium thus obtained allows a recording image of sharp color tone without chromatic mixture or bleeding to be obtained. |
