PURPOSE:To obtain high wavelength conversion efficiency by casting the basic wave of a specific wavelength range to the bulk single crystal expressed by the specific molecular formula in the method of casting the linearly polarized basic light wave to the said single crystal and converting the same to the second harmonic wave of 1/2 the wavelength. CONSTITUTION:The basic wave of 900-4,000nm, wavelength is cast to the nonlinear optical material expressed by the formula I and the angle phase matching of the type I is taken by which the second harmonic wave 15' thereof is obtd. in the optical wavelength conversion method of casting the linearly polarized basic wave 15 to the bulk single crystal of the above-mentioned nonlinear optical material and converting the same to the second harmonic wave of 1/2 the wavelength. The angle phase matching of the basic wave and the second harmonic wave can be taken by adequately setting the polarization method of the incident basic wave on the PRA crystal and, therefore, the extremely high wavelength conversion efficiency is attained. |
