The sensor 1 is intended in particular for measuring the difference in pressure of the two sides of a sail of a ship or the like. It comprises means 3a, 3b forming a channel for creating a leakage of air between the two faces of the sail and means 4 for measuring the flow rate of this leakage, which comprise a metal wire stretched through the channel, this wire being heated and used in accordance with the so-called hot-wire anemometer technique, the pressure loss associated with the flow rate of the aforementioned leakage is determined so as to perturb the pressure fields on either side of the sail only negligibly, and the geometry of the sensor 1 is chosen so as to determine its sensitivity and to provide protection against spray.
