PURPOSE:To inhibit photo-deterioration rate by superposing at least two cells having P-I-N junction structure and connecting the output terminals of the cells in parallel. CONSTITUTION:A light-transmitting conductive film 2, a P-layer 4, an I-layer 5, an N-layer 6, a light-transmitting conductive film 7, an N-layer 8, an I-layer 9 and a P-layer 10 are laminated successively onto a glass substrate 1. The output terminals of a first cell composed of the P-layer 4, the I-layer 5 and the N-layer 6 and a second cell consisting of the N-layer 8, the I-layer 9 and the P-layer 10 are connected in parallel through electrodes 3, 11. Light is applied from the direction of the arrow toward the glass substrate 1. The cells having each P-I structure are connected in parallel, thus eliminating the need for the equalization of current values generated in respective I-layer. Consequently, the lower I-layer can be thinned. Accordingly, the efficiency of collection of electron holes generated is improved, and the efficiency of collection of electrons-holes is enhanced even when overall I-layer film thickness is made the same as the I-layer film thickness of a normal single-cell. |
