PURPOSE:To bind image-forming elements firmly to a support without causing any undesirable change in the elements by applying a predetermined pressure to the image-forming elements arranged on the support, and then heating the elements in the absence of the pressure. CONSTITUTION:Image-forming elements 1c-1e are arranged on a binder 1b provided on a support 1a. A low pressure and heat at a temperature T1 in such ranges as not to cause the elements 1c-1e to develop transferability are simultaneously applied to the elements 1c-1e, thereby binding the elements 1c-1e onto a thermoplastic binder 1b on the support 1a. Thereafter, heat at a temperature T2 higher than T1 is applied to the elements 1c-1e, substantially without applying any pressure, to bind the elements 1c-1e firmly. With a transfer recording medium 1 thus produced, a multicolor image can be formed with high quality. |
