PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of performance with age and the generation of a fluctuation in measurement by using solid hydroxyapatite having a hydroxyl group as a standard material contg. a prescribed concn. of hydrogen packed in a measuring tube. CONSTITUTION:A tubular body part 1a of the measuring tube 1 consists of nonconductive porcelain and the front end part 1b thereof consists of a test tubular solid electrolyte having proton conductivity. The front end part 1b is fixed by an inorg. adhesive agent 2 to the bottom end of the body part 1a to close the bottom end of the body part 1a. A porous inside surface electrode 3 is stuck to the inside surface of the front end part 1b consisting of the solid electrolyte over nearly the entire part thereof. A current collecting band 4 of the net-like inside surface electrode is attached to the bottom end face of the inside surface electrode 3. A porous outside surface electrode 5 is stuck to the outside surface of the front end part 1b so as to face the inside surface electrode 3 with the solid electrolyte in-between.
