PURPOSE: To make it possible to use a catheter for checking the start point of a ventricular arrhythmia by providing the catheter with at least two pieces of electrodes in correspondence to a remote position, constituting one piece of one piece among two pieces of jaw parts of biopsy forceps and electrically connecting these electrodes to two pieces of terminals existing at the proximity position of the catheter. CONSTITUTION: The catheter is inserted into the cardiac sinus through a tubular armor 24 and is used as a dipole for searching an electrical cardiac signal in the released position when the forceps 3 arrive at the heart ventricle. Terminal pins 30, 31 read searched signals and are electrically connected to a recorder. The two electrodes consisting of the jaw parts 2 and 4 enable the formation of the map of the potential on the cardiac wall and enables the check of the absolute high potential point corresponding to the start point of the ventricular arrhythmia. The catheter is used as a collecting appliance immediately when the ventricular arrhythmia point is checked. A sleeve 28 operates to close the forceps and peels the biopsy tissues of the checked section. Namely, the one catheter plays two roles of checking the start point of the ventricular arrhythmia and collecting the biopsy tissues. |
