METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REDUCING FULL PAGE GRAPHICS IMAGE DISPLAY DATA

PURPOSE: To reduce the quantity of unnecessary white picture data by extracting a bit map display consisting of only black data. CONSTITUTION: Data in a hard disk 104 are displayed on a CRT 101 by a personal computer 102, the binary picture data of one page are retrieved for every byte, divided into a cell matrix and converted into a bit map display including only black data. The bit map display is transferred to an output buffer. The bit map display and positional information are sent to a laser printer 105 by using a reference graphic command sequence.
