The invention relates to a guiding device making it possible to drill the mitred corners of framing strips totally symmetrically, at the location and depth required, for the purpose of assembling them using embedded and bonded dowels. It consists of support faces arranged in a V configuration 24 fixed onto a bed 19, the bissectrix of the angle of the V being in the axis of the bed. This bed moves opposite a drilling system and a fixed stop 18 consisting of a slit tubular section clipped onto the drill bushing. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for the high-quality cottage-industry assembly of framing strips. <IMAGE>
