The invention relates to a scooping utensil in the form of a spoon with a dished recess, a so-called bowl, and a handle, in particular for use in the foodstuff sector, for scooping delicatessen salads, in the case of which scooping utensil the handle is made approximately twice as wide at its rear gripping end as at the attachment to the recess, and forms a type of rearwardly opened pocket into which a price tag or a plate bearing information can be inserted. The scooping utensil serves both for the scooping of the products and for the fastening of price tags, plates and the like, and thus performs two functions in combination with one another.
