A sanitary single-lever mixer valve has, in a housing, one fixed and one movable control disc. The movable control disc can execute a rotary motion and this leads to a change in the mixing ratio of the emerging water. In addition, the movable control disc can be displaced linearly, whereby the quantity of mixed water emerging is changed. Once the movable control disc has reached a certain travel in its linear motion, corresponding to a preferred quantity of water, a device counteracts further linear displacement in the movable control disc with a resistance that it is possible to overcome. <IMAGE>
