Release agent

A release agent composed of a carrier substance and additives for treating moulds for producing shaped articles from polyurethane or similar plastics is to combine the satisfactory mould release results obtained with solvent-based carrier agents, while at the same time avoiding the environmental penalties, with the continued production of very high-quality end products through optimal separation between moulding and mould. This is achieved when the carrier substance of the release agent comprises polysiloxane compounds.
