The invention relates to a domestic vibratory appliance, especially an electric razor or a haircutting appliance, in the case of which movements of a bipolar, permanently magnetised rotor generates, in a stator arrangement which is excited by coils, a vibratory movement of a vibratory tool via a lever system (12b) which is coupled to the movements of the rotor (9), a restoring resilient force acting on the lever system (12b). To the rotor (9) there is fastened a lever (12) which can be moved together with the rotor about the axis (10) of the latter and is coupled by its free end (13), which projects beyond the rotor (9), to a working tool. The restoring resilient force acting on the lever (12) pretensions the drive, which is composed of the lever (12) and the rotor (9), in such a way that the rotor (9) executes oscillatory movements about its rest position. <IMAGE>
