A description is given of a method and an apparatus for tacking two sheet-metal parts lying one on top of the other by flow forming using a punch and a die. In addition to these elements, which are known per se, a blank holder is at the same time provided in the region of the punch. This blank holder clamps the two sheet-metal parts against one another prior to the deformation of the sheet-metal parts by the punch. The punch and the blank holder are operated by a common toggle lever. To this end, the blank holder is connected to the toggle lever via a Belleville spring assembly.
