The invention relates to a device (1) for attaching the boom (2) to the mast (3) of a sailboard. Provision is made of a sleeve (4) which is made of plastic or the like, partially surrounds the mast (3), can be fixed in a force-closed fashion and can be adjusted in height and in which there is arranged a fastening device (5) which accommodates a connecting member (7) arranged on the front fitting (6) of the boom (2). The fastening device (5) is constructed for a vertical pivoting movement of the boom (2) about a horizontal spindle (8) extending at right angles to the mast (3). A rapid clamping device (9) is provided for fixing the sleeve (4) to the mast (3). The clamping travel of the rapid clamping device is dimensioned in this case in such a way that the vertical pivotability is maintained after the force closure has been achieved. <IMAGE>
