Method and device for obstruction identification using ultrasound range measurement

A method and a device using ultrasound range measurements are specified for obstruction identification and for deriving control commands on the basis of obstructions which have been detected, by means of which method it is possible for vehicles to be able to move autonomously, without a driver, in an environment with obstructions, without any mutual interference. In this case, the ultrasound signal reflected by obstructions is digitised for the monitoring depth and is investigated for stationary signals from obstructions, signals from other vehicles and transient interference signals being suppressed. The ultrasound pulses are emitted in time-code form. A specific time signal sequence for the ultrasound measurement pulses is assigned to each vehicle.
