The invention relates to a switched-mode power supply for the isolated power supply of DC consumers in the case of primary pulsing of an inductive converter and regulation via pulse-width modulation. The intention is here to produce such a power supply which covers an input-voltage range of from 20 to 265 or 380 V of DC voltage or AC voltage, with high stability of the output voltage independently of load fluctuations and fast voltage variations on the input side, which is achieved by dividing the primary side into two winding parts which are each connected in series with a switching transistor and are automatically controllable, depending on the input voltage, so that input voltages of approximately 20 to 265 VAC (AC voltage) and approximately 20 to 380 VDC (DC voltage) are to be processed.
