Phenolic resin compositions suitable for the manufacture of prepreg mats. Compositions according to which they contain an additive consisting of an alkali or alkaline-earth metal borate or alkali or alkaline-earth metal metaborate or alkali or alkaline-earth metal tetraborate. -Application to the manufacture of phenolic prepreg mats which are stable in storage.
