The apparatus according to the invention relates to a low frequency sound generator especially suited for use with infrasound grills or other infrasound supported combustion. A housing in the shape of a front plate (9, 30), a rear cover plate (11, 32) and a sweep (10, 31), which connects the two plates, is connected to the grill via a flange (8, 29). By means of an electromagnet (18, 38), a reciprocating movement is generated in a diaphragm (14, 35) located inside the housing, and said reciprocating movement generates air pulses of a certain low frequency which propagate from the diaphragm (14, 35) through the flange (8, 29) and into the combustion fire place. |
