The invention relates to an articulated device 5-6-7 for rotationally driving a component, such as a valve spool, about its axis 4 through a clearly defined angular amount starting from a first means 13 with linear displacement, such as a jack, secured to a support 3 itself secured to the chassis 1 of the assembly giving rise to the displacement of the said articulated device, with a multiplying effect. According to another characteristic of the invention, a second means 12, with linear displacement such as a jack, secured to the chassis 1 of the assembly gives rise to the rotation of the support 3 which is in fact free to rotate with respect to the chassis 1 in the zone of the drive shaft 4 so that the angular displacement of the said support is added to the angular displacement of the drive shaft 4 generated by the first linear displacement means 13. <IMAGE>
