The walking frame, designed especially to support a handicapped person attempting to walk, consists of a horizontal U-shaped frame with fixed wheels (3) at the rear and two steerable wheels (2) at the front, linked to a handlebar (6) with a brake lever (19). The brake lever controls a brake in the form of one or two hinged legs (15) which press down on the ground in front of the frame to stop it. The walking frame, which may or may not be made collapsible, can be made from a lightweight alloy or plastics. The lower frame can be equipped with a flat panel (22) and a hook (23) to take a small load. ADVANTAGE - Reduced space requirement and wider range of uses.
