In order to create a connection plug socket for telecommunications equipment and apparatuses, having a closure slide for the plug insertion opening, in the case of which the closure slide can be held simply and in a captive manner, it is proposed that the closure slide (5) be held on the plug socket (1) such that it can be displaced transversely, the plug socket (1) having guides (which engage over the closure slide (5) on its longitudinal rim edges) and integrally formed stops (9) against which that rim edge which is located at the front in the closing direction of the closure slide (5) is placed in the closed position, and latching tabs (10) being integrally formed on the sides of the closure slide (5), which latching tabs (10) are constructed such that they are sprung transversely with respect to the closure movements and are placed against parts of the guides (7) when the closure slide (5) is in the open position. <IMAGE>
