Apparatus for the throughflow treatment of textile material, paper or the like

The permeable drum for the wet-treatment or dry-treatment of textile material, paper or other permeable materials of a particular width consists only of narrow sheet-metal strips or narrow webs. The sheet-metal strips extend axis-parallel, their width extension being oriented in the radial direction. The webs are oriented in the circumferential direction and are parts of the connecting elements, carrying the sieve-like covering, between the sheet-metal strips. The connecting elements also serving as spacers are made in one piece and connect two adjacent sheet-metal strips. The connection of the spacers to the sheet-metal strips is made by means of screws which have no head. The adjacent ends of two screws one following the other in the circumferential direction are screwed into a nut which can itself be surrounded by a suitable connecting element. Whilst the web of the connecting elements is in each case made narrow, the foot should be wider, in order to achieve a good sealing of the circumferential region of the drum which is not under a suction draught. <IMAGE>
