Two PTC heating elements having different nominal temperatures are coupled in series and are also thermally coupled very closely to one another by means of a direct connection. As long as a maximum difference in the nominal temperatures is not exceeded, the result is a temperature which is stabilised to an accuracy of approximately 1@C, even inside a region of relatively strongly fluctuating operating voltage. <IMAGE>
