Rubber particles for reinforcing resins, and rubber-reinforced resin composition

Rubber particles which are suitable for reinforcing resin compositions contain a hydrogenated block copolymer of a conjugated diene and a vinylaromatic compound, have a glass transition temperature of -30@C or below, a gel content of at least 10%, an average particle size of from 0.01 to 5.0 mu m and a microphase separation structure comprising hard segments and soft segments, in which the hard segments and the soft segments are laminated to one another alternately in the form of concentric multiple layers. A specific reinforced resin composition comprises a matrix resin having a glass transition temperature of at least 0@C and from 1 to 60 % by weight of the above-defined rubber particles in the form of a dispersion in the matrix resin. The rubber particles exert a strong reinforcing action on the matrix resin, and resin compositions reinforced by means of these rubber particles are characterised by superior weathering resistance, heat resistance and impact strength.
