PURPOSE:To improve the operability for generation and correction of optional character dot patterns, by displaying a read code for an optional character dot pattern, a register code, and an optional character dot pattern to be preserved in a storage device on the same menu screen. CONSTITUTION:The key input from a keyboard 15 is stored in a data register KDATA of an RAM24; and if this input is data, the data of the register KDATA is stored in buffers YOBUF and TOBUF in accordance with an area designated by a screen cursor 32, and an optional character call code and an optional character register code are displayed on areas B and A of a menu screen 31, respectively, and respective data are transferred to registers JSYO and JSTO. When the cursor 32 is placed in an area C, white or black dots are displayed, and this data is stored in a floppy disc 26. If the data of the register KDATA indicates the movement of a monitor cursor 33, the data on the screen 31 is preserved in the disc 26, called from the disc 26, or managed or deleted on the disc 26 in accordance with this indication. |
