Tool change system for a handling device

A description is given of a tool change system for a multi-axis positioning and handling device (industrial robot) which has a tool change flange, to which can be attached tools placed in readiness in a magazine for placing tools in readiness, and which transmits control signals and power to the respectively attached tool. The tool change system according to the invention is distinguished in that the tools have further connecting elements for control signals and power, which are connected, in the magazine for placing in readiness, to corresponding connecting elements of the magazine for placing in readiness and are activated by the connection.
