Servo-driven motors are fitted with a tacho generator in which the radially arranged magnetic-pole pairs of a rotor generate, in radially arranged, meander-shaped coil windings mounted on a circular plate, a voltage which is dependent on the rotational frequency. A tacho generator of this construction cannot produce the other output signals required. There is therefore a need for a single device capable of producing additional outputs. This is made psossible by using banked coils, the windings of which are at different azimuth angles, and a rotor in which the magnetic-pole pairs are associated with the coils so that their alignment matches the angle of the windings in the corresponding coil. Motors are provided to drive for instance the recording head in a video recorder. |
