SYNTHETIC LUBRICANTS CONTAINING POLAR GROUPS

摘要

A novel polar lubricant fluid comprising the reaction product of an enophile and C20+ olefinic hydrocarbon containing allylic groups is described. The polar hydrogenated reaction product exhibits superior lubricant properties and ability to form homogeneous mixtures with additives. The adduct is formed by thermally driven addition of enophile to olefin or Lewis acid catalyzed addition.
