Evaporation-protection means and fastening aid for the soil substrate of plant boxes for cultivating walls with greenery is essentially composed of a frame, which may also be the plant box (1) itself, and of blocks (2) which are fitted together loosely to form a wall. Individual blocks can be easily removed from the wall and re-inserted therein. In this manner, openings (3) can be provided at different locations within the cultivation surface of the plant box. It is mainly the frame which ensures that the blocks are held. According to one exemplary embodiment, the blocks may also have protrusions on their rear side, which secure them directly in the soil substrate of the cultivation surface.
