The invention relates to a communication system for the field of entertainment electronics, having a number of connected devices, particularly hifi and/or video and/or TV devices. According to the invention, the devices are connected to one another by a data bus, in which arrangement electromagnetic waves, particulary infrared waves, can be used as transmission system. This makes it possible to dispense with the cable connections usually needed between the devices.
