<p>The method provides for obtaining a corrected mask (5) on the basis of estimating the probability of whether image elements belong to the discriminated fragment (2) or to the background image by means of calculation, in an elementary area, of the number of elements of each recorded combination of colour-differentiated signals separately for the internal and external sides of the boundary (3) and comparison of the share of said elements in the total number of elements in the elementary area. The method may be preferably used in the case of discriminating a fragment of an image with a complex contour, in particular, in polygraphy when mounting several originals on a single reproduction, as well as in cartography, cinematography, television and animated cartoons.</p> |
