Permanent magnets (7, 8) which are used for premagnetization are inserted between the E-core part (1) and the I-core part (5). These permanent magnets act as an air gap and produce a stray field which disturbs other components. The object is to reduce the effect of this stray field. The I-core part (5) is arranged inside the opening which is formed by the outer limbs (2, 3) of the E-core part (1). Especially a transformer for the switched-mode power supply (SMPS) of a television receiver. <IMAGE>
