PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body free of trailing of potential and almost of residual potential by using a combination of an electric charge generating layer containing an anthanthrone pigment and a charge transfer layer containing a benzidine derivative. CONSTITUTION:The charge generating layer contains as a charge generating material the anthanthrone pigment represented by formula I and the charge transfer layer contains as a charge transfer material the benzidine derivative represented by formula II, and in formulae I and II, X is halogen, nitro, cyano, carboxy, alkoxy, or amino; (n) is 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4; one of R1 and R2 is >=2 C alkyl, and the other is H, alkyl, alkoxy, or substituted amino, thus permitting the obtained electrophotographic sensitive body to be freed of potential trailing and almost of residual potential. |
