PURPOSE:To produce a crude feed for ruminants having the same properties as those of rice straw, excellent shelf stability and ready handleability by grinding Phyllostachys pubescens, drying and granulating. CONSTITUTION:Phyllostachys pubescens is grind into sawdust-like powder with about 1-3mm average diameter and dried to <=20wt.%, preferably 10-50 wt.%. Then the dried powder is optionally mixed with honey and other additives and granulated into pellets with 5-10mm diameter to give a crude feed. Then an ordinary formula feed is blended with 20wt.% of the crude feed to raise cattle, sheep, etc. |
