Butadiene is polymerized alone or with a monomer such as styrene in a dispersion in propane, butane or a mixture thereof with minor amounts of other C4 to C6 alkanes, e.g., n-pentane, a dispensing medium, and a dispensing agent which is preferably a styrene/hydrogenated isoprene block copolymer to achieve stable dispersions at higher solids and butadiene levels than is possible with similar alkane dispersants. |
