PURPOSE:To carry out the uniform dressing of the whole grind-stone portion irrespective of the shape thereof by controlling the quantity, speed, and condition of dressing of the grind stone by the selection of an electrolyte and the regulation of the output of a power source for applying an electric field to the grind stone. CONSTITUTION:A conductive grind stone 10 is connected to a positive electrode 8 and the whole grind-stone portion 14 of the grind stone 10 is immersed into a proper electrolyte solution 11 which selectively corrodes a grind-stone matrix and which is previously selected and stored in an electrolyte solution vessel 12. Then, by regulating the output of a power source 7, the immersed grind stone 10 is rotated while applying a desired electric field thereto to selectively corrode and remove the matrix of the grind stone portion 14 by means of electrolysis, thereby carrying out the uniform dressing of the grind-stone portion 14. |
