<p>The invention relates to a process for enamelling a metal article, especially steel sheet, consisting in applying by a liquid route at least one mass layer, characterised in that at least one hydrophilic surface-active or emulsifying product is added to an enamelling composition by a liquid route, in that this enamelling composition, to which the surface-active product has been added, is applied directly to the article, without performing a degreasing and/or acidic scouring treatment on the latter, and in that the vitrification, by baking, of the enamel deposited on the article thus treated is then carried out, the fats present on the article and the surface-active agents disappearing during the baking, which avoids enamelling faults after baking; the surface-active product preferably consists of polyoxyethylenated sorbitan monolaurate and, in this case, its content is of the order of 0.5%. The invention also relates to a composition for enamelling metals, characterised in that is comprises at least one hydrophilic surface-active or emulsifying product, in particular polyoxyethylenated sorbitan monolaurate in a concentration of 0.5%.</p> |
